  • Notes: Hugues Claude Pissarro hails form a long line of notable artists - the grandson of Impressionist master Camille Pissarro and son of Post-Impressionist painter Paul-Emile Pissarro. Hugues began exhibiting his paintings at the age of 14 in France, much in the similar Impressionist style of his grandfather and father. Hugues would experiment with different artistic styles and techniques through his long, continuing career, delving into more abstracted and expressionist styles under the name "Isaac Pomie." In 1959 Hugues was commissioned by the White House to paint a portrait of then-President Dwight Eisenhower.
  • Condition: Overall good condition. Artist pinholes in the corners. The sheet is framed floating, tipped to the back mat at the verso of the sheet corners. Not examined out of the frame.
