    Dr. Heinrich Stinnes started collecting prints before the First World War and was known to have the "best and richest" collections in Germany. He started with collecting German prints and later transitioned to collecting modern prints from foreign artists. According to the Frits Lugt, 'Collectors' Marks on Prints and Drawings,' online catalog, "He searched mainly for the first proofs and possessed in all about 200,000 sheets among which shone rare states of C. Pissarro, K. Kollwitz and E. Munch. In 1911 this passionate amateur acquired, from the A. W. Heymel collection, all the sheets of Toulouse-Lautrec, a rich series that included the rarest and that he completed again making it unique."
  • Condition: Overall very good condition, particularly for a sheet of this size and date. Full margins with deckled edges.Two soft, horizontal creases at the very top of the image, the longest approximately 9 inches, both visible primarily in raking light. A few short horizontal edge tears in the margins, not affecting the image. A few old white paper hinges attendant glue in places at the verso of the margin edges. The sheet is hinged to the overmat with two pieces of white tape from the verso of the upper margin edge.

In circumstances where Moran arranges for such third-party services, Moran may apply an administration charge of 15% of that service fee. Moran assumes no responsibility for acts or omissions in such packing or shipping by other packers or carriers, even if recommended by Moran. Moran also assumes no responsibility for any damage to picture frames or to the glass therein.
