MONROVIA, CA – John Moran Auctioneers’ annual December Fine Jewelry Auction was a decided success, amassing just over $1.2 million in total sales. The jewelry cases were well appointed, containing all the glitz and glamour appropriate of a holiday auction event. The sale was well attended, though most of the big-ticket items went to telephone buyers from around the globe. Ten phone lines were in full swing throughout the evening, and plenty of bids came through via the Bidsquare, Liveauctioneers and Invaluable online platforms.

MONROVIA, CA – John Moran Auctioneers looks forward to ringing in the new year by reaching out to established collectors and art market newcomers alike with a January online-only fine art auction. Moran’s expects to sell over 200 lots of reasonably-priced works of art in their January online auction, which will go live via Liveauctioneers.com on December 20th and will draw to a close on January 27th, 2016. Timed bidding will begin at 6pm Pacific time on January 27th, with each lot given a limited amount of time for live bidding until closure. Buyers can submit absentee bids through the Liveauctioneers.com platform from the sale’s late December open until the beginning of the automated auction’s timed denouement on the 27th.

Moran’s November 17th Decorative Art Auction Aims to Delight Collectors with Modern, Contemporary and Traditional Offerings


MONROVIA, CA – While everyone at John Moran Auctioneers has been hard at work facilitating their move from Altadena, CA to their newly renovated facility in downtown Monrovia, their November 17, 2015 Decorative Art Auction has been quietly coalescing. The robust catalogue features over 260 lots of 19th and 20th Century works of European, Latin American and Asian artworks to be offered alongside a wide selection of Mid-Century Modern and Contemporary designer decorative arts, 18th and 19th century French furniture, bronzes, sculptures and an excellent selection of art glass both modern and antique. Contrary to previous reports, this auction will be held at Moran’s usual off-site venue, the Pasadena Convention Center, as renovations at their new location are still underway.
